Rankster is a Ft Lauderdale based company focused on web marketing. As a group of website developers, graphic designers, and online marketers we are dedicated to providing top quality SEO, PPC & Social Marketing solutions to small businesses. We aim to provide visible, measurable results to any size or type business that needs help getting their name and product/service out into the digital world. We are happy to work with fortune 500 companies, tiny start-ups, or anything in between. We also love to help out non-profits and ministries.

How We Got Started

Rankster was formed as a function of necessity. Brightwork group, a small web development company (we’re all still a part of Brightwork), is the parent company of Rankster.  As we created websites for local and regional businesses, we kept hearing the same kinds of things from our clients, “Can you guys help me market this thing?” and such.  So we began applying a couple of decades worth of marketing savvy to the online world and started seeing our clients’ site’s move up on the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) and conversions starting to improve.  Now here we are a couple of years later, our client roster has grown, our expertise has grown, and we decided to get smart and formalize this whole thing. Rankster was born. In the process we developed cost effective SEO packages, which apply the techniques we’re already implementing, as a cost effective way for businesses of all sizes and types to get found on the internet.

Our Team

Our team is made up of a number of people skilled in different areas; some are web developers, others designers, others copywriters. We combine our skill and experience to bring you high quality SEO that will bring you traffic. Here’s some of the crew:

Mike Giambattista, Managing Director
He is the Managing Director and chief strategist for our clients. Mike is a veteran of the Consumer Goods, Commercial Real Estate and Advertising worlds having spent his early career handling national wine brands for a couple of California vineyards. Several years later, Mike had transitioned into direct marketing & advertising leading teams of creative talent into award-winning campaigns for several regional media companies and ad agencies. In 2004 he jumped ship and started Brightwork (our parent company) and now Rankster.

Jesse Grace, Account Planning
Jesse possesses the best possible qualifications for a good account planner – he’s been everywhere, seen everything and isn’t jaded by any of it.  Along the way he picked up a feel for creative strategy, social media know-how, and a very cool old Suzuki.  When he’s not rankstering, Jesse hosts the occasional C.o.D. tournament and instructs the rest of us on the finer points of coffee appreciation.  He’s also the only member of the team cool enough to get his photo from Instagram.

Joshua Reeder, Client Services
As head of all things client-related, Joshua’s reach (and fortunately) his expertise are vast and generous. He was raised here in SoFla on a hearty diet of sun & surfing and, after attending Palm Beach Atlantic University, quickly split for parts unknown. Nobody had heard from him for a couple of years until he appeared one day with a strangely impressive knack for marketing strategy and a really good tan.  Josh also speaks fluent Social Media – so can find him pretty much anywhere online.

Cono Onorato, Web Development & Programming
Cono is one of those people you read about in Wired who, through personal tenacity, intellect and moxy has figured out how to wire, un-wire & re-wire the internet using two paper clips and a bit of dental floss. His expertise drives Brightworks’ various web-based solutions and, unlike most of the rest of the web people out there, he’s also a very nice guy.
